In recent years, depictions of dementia on the stage and screen have become increasingly common. On February 20, 2014, Cure Alzheimer's Fund president and CEO Tim Armour appeared on WGBH News to discuss art and Alzheimer's disease. He was joined by WGBH arts editor Jared Bowen to talk about a recent play, "Absence", which tells the story of a woman living with dementia through her own eyes.
WASHINGTON –Joining as the newest member of the Founding Board for the Women Against Alzheimer’s Network is Senior Vice President of Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, Sally Rosenfield.
Bringing together women from across the country who are leading the way in Alzheimer’s research, the Women Against Alzheimer’s Founding Network focuses on “harness[ing] the power of women” to build an “aggressive plan to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s disease.”
Award-winning author and popular speaker David Shenk, whose book The Forgetting is widely considered one of the best ever written about Alzheimer’s, has joined Cure Alzheimer’s Fund as a senior adviser. Shenk will be deeply involved with writing, events and fundraising on a project basis at CAF.
