How can I make a donation?
Donations are gladly accepted by mail, by telephone and online. For more information, see the “Donate” section of our website.
Is Cure Alzheimer’s Fund a nonprofit organization?
Yes. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designated by the Internal Revenue Code with federal tax ID #52-2396428.
How much money has the foundation given to research so far?
To date, we have funded more than $12 million in research, either directly or through partnerships.
How much of the money donated actually goes to research?
100 percent of all donations support research. The administrative costs of Cure Alzheimer's Fund are underwritten by the organization’s founders.
How can I apply for a grant?
In general, we do not accept unsolicited proposals. With our limited resources, we try to keep the focus on a narrow range of research as described in our Research Roadmap. For further details, please visit the “Grant Inquiries” section on our website.
Can I make a donation in honor or in memory of someone?
Yes. It’s a wonderful thing to do. For more information, see the “In Memory Donation” section of our website.
What is a corporate matching gift and how can I make one?
Many corporations have matching gift programs and will match your donation to a charitable organization. It's an easy way to increase your personal contributions to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. Talk to your human resources representative to find out whether your company has such a program and how you can participate.
Can I raise money for Cure Alzheimer's Fund?
Yes. Please visit the “Other Ways to Help" section on our website to learn more. We are grateful for the support of those across the country who raise money for us through race sponsorships, wedding favors, bake sales, tennis tournaments and other creative events and activities.
Can I volunteer?
Because we have small offices, it is impossible to accommodate all the enthusiastic people who want to give their time to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s. However, we do offer some volunteer and internship opportunities for people in our Boston area office. If interested, please e-mail info@curealz.org.
Where can I read FAQs about Alzheimer’s disease?
At Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, we want to keep our focus on funding promising research, but there are a number of good sources about Alzheimer’s disease and care giving on the Web. Read the National Institutes of Health’s FAQs on Alzheimer’s disease.
